I was passing by an appliance store in Dayton today and I saw 2 Maytag wringer machines sitting out front. After making deliveries, I stopped by... One maytag is a J2L and the other is an E2L just like mine except it has a pump. possibly E2LP The guy wanted $150 per machine. He stated that he had not tested them and that people bought them to decorate. They look fairly nice and they did not have any rust on them. The tub in one of them looked a little dirty. If anyone is near by and is interested the store is: Buy Rite Appliances and Furniture 2327 E. Third Street Dayton, OH 45403 (937)610-3565 Give this guy a call if any of you are interested.
I don't have pictures because I saw them spur-of-the-moment, and it was during work.

In my opinion $150 is a bit steep. I just sold an E2LS built 9/82 for $45, and it was in great shape mechanically and cosmetically. . This machine had the rubber foot pedal to operate the wringers deactivated. But then again, if he can get the price he's asking, good for him.
OH. I had no idea of a decent price for Maytag Wringer machines. I posted this because a few weeks ago someone on the forum was looking for a Maytag wringer to add to their collection. I took a quick look around in the shop and he had mostly newer whirlpool/kenmore DD machines, a lot of dryers, Duet FL machines(scary), and what looked to be a very interesting Whirlpool CleanTouch Dryer. What was interesting about it was that it was gas and it had a compartment on the top of it that appears as if the lint was collected in some sort of bag or container. I've never seen it before, and I would have taken pictures but I did not have my camera.
