Now as much as I dont want to be a killjoy most of us are happy to provide information but it would be nice to recieve some back instead of having it requested out of us in a one way conversation. You have said in a previous thread you would post info and pictures of your machines notably the Bendix but these have yet to materialise. It would be very nice of you to return such favours courteously and perhaps we may divulge more information for your education. Something to mull over perhaps? Share and share alike I say. Rob |

Ok so to post pictures you..... 1.Transfer the pics from your camera to your PC - this could be done in 2 ways. Using the software that came with the camera or transferring from the device to your hard drive using "My Computer" files. 2. Save them in appropriate labelled files on your PC. 3. Resize them using perhaps microsoft picture resizer and set it to large. Dont forget to rotate them so they are the right way round. 3. Create a thread in the usual manner with the required text. 4. to add a picture click "Browse" and find the file with the picture (it must be the resized one) then click ok to upload it, 5. Then click on preview message to see your post, edit as required in the usual manner etc etc. 6. click post message just like you do for all posts. Its really that simple although it did take me a few posts to get the hang of it. any questions you need answering about uploading do ask. Cheers |

Iam a big fan of late 70's Indesits. My Aunties had them. One had the L5, the spin drain was fantastic to watch although you needed a separate spin dryer as the 380rpm left clothes still dripping. She had that machine for 9 years and chronically overloaded it!! My other Aunty had the L8, higher water levels for wash and rinse, not a spin drain machine.....and took a LONG time to complete a cycle. My cousin had a single dial dark facia 400rpm indesit that was in her house when she bought it. Very quiet in operation. Sorry I have no pics of these machines but happy to provide more info, well as much as I can remember. Paul |

Hi Phil, we had an Indesit in the 80's a series 2000 machine which was very nicely styled for its time and way ahead of the rival machines on the market in terms of looks. It featured a variable spin from 300-1100 and variable temp as well as economy buttons and half load button. It lasted about 13 years and only failed due to pressure switch fault. Was a very good machine well built and washed well with 5 very deep rinses. Theres a pic of a similar machine at the link below to an old post. Robm's pic is closest to the 2103 machine. Hi Phillip Yes the early Indesit washers where quite a big hit over here in the 60`s, one of the most affordable frontloaders around, Hot & Cold fill, around a 9lb load with 3 compartment dispenser..the only drawback for our climate was the spin speed, a paltry 400rpm abouts..after twintubs & spinners it was quite a shock for the first time buyer!!!most people kept a small seperate spinner to dry the clothes... AND, as a teenager, carry on asking all the questions you like on the club about washers etc..after all its the same way we all learned, and the only way the knowledge will be passed on!!! Cheers, Mike |

Here is the pure L5, which an aunt and uncle of mine owned, as well as a cousin and his girlfriend. This is the L5LGB from 1977... |

was only a short spin-drain, cause the L5-8 had the selfcleaning pump. L6 model instead was a common separate drain pump |
