I'll chime in with one vote in favor of these machines. I got ours in Jan 2005 and it's been night-and-day better than the PoS GE Profile plastic tubber we had before. It gets virtually everything clean and shiny (the only exception being cooked-on scrambled eggs, and it managed to get 2/3 of that off!), and runs reasonably quite. Now, that being said I am on pump #2 after the first one started making an unfortunate loud buzzing noise, so long term reliability could be an issue. Still I'm happy with the purchase. Are the current KA machines any good, or in the future if I'm staring down a non-warranty repair that costs more than it is worth should I just get a Miele? |

I pretty much have absolutely no complaint about my Kenmore Elite version of this machine. I adjsuted to the longer cycle times. And if I have to do successive loads, I "sort" my dishware loads so that what can be done in the 30 minute cycle will get run through first and then unloaded and reloaded. I've even been amazed at what comes out on the china/gentle cycle. Pretty heavy soil and no-heat dry, load is finished in just over 60 minutes. Light soil on my GE potscrubber GSD1200 was 59 minutes. Normal was 66 minutes, so not much different.
