The only skinny mini machines that I have ever seen in person is the stack unit. Were the single units made to use as portable machines or hooked up as regular machines? They were quite thin with limited capacity when compared to other standard machines on the market at that time. Todd

I have never seen single units. Does anyone have pics to post?

Permanent to portable only requires casters(wheels) a "Y" connector or a cap for the (2nd) water inlet valve and a quick-connect coupler. Oftentimes, these were sold as "portability conversion kits".

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but my belief is that the Skinny Mini was a solid unit and in my opinion would not make a great portable, even if you retrofitted it with casters. Personally, I think it's top heavy and wouldn't move easily.

Just my humble opinion.

The Skinny Mini

unit was indeed available for a short time (year or two) as portable separate units. The print ad I remember for them is a young married couple in a Frigidaire showroom, with the portables in Poppy. The bewildered looking husband is handing the Frigidaire dealer a check.

So, at least in this case, everyone is correct. How neato is that?
