I know that I still have pics to take and send to the few of you who have shown interest in a few of my washers. But I have to clean out soon, and no one, not one single person, has asked about these.

This is the last call for the Kenmores. If you don't get these by August 1, 2009, they will be scrapped.

Yes, they are all free.

You know, I saved all of these because I had a few requests for Kenmores. So all of you who wanted them, this is your last chance.

I'll help you work on them if you want, but they MUST GO SOON!

Have lost total interest

Glad to see others having probs getting in touch with this dude. I've tried emailing about the Kenmore sudsaver with "almost" matching dryer and have had no response.
Why post the ads in the first place if there is to be no follow thru? Very discourteous behavior towards other members. To me these ads are no better than "teaser" ads.

I don't know, but is this guy for real? Look at TrainGuy's profile, and notice how many classic pre-1960 Frigidaires he says he has in his collection. Can this even be verified? I would really like a WI-56 like my grandparents used to have!

I'm reasonably sure Rich is for real. I seem to recall him explaining a while back on the forums how it is he comes by so many awesome machines, something to do with his job. I am also pretty sure there are members who he's given machines to in the past. I don't think he'd be taking the time to save and post these machines, and to offer them for free, if he wasn't for real.

That being said, I've emailed him in the past and I don't recall getting a reply. I chalked it up to him having a strong spam filter. He does post online here, so I'm sure he'll catch up with us at some point.

FWIW, I have a pickup now and I am in central NJ. So its very likely I could give one of these dryers a home, if it was gas. I might also be able to help out someone who is in the NYC metro area if they wanted to get a machine as well.

Yeah, Right and Swamp Land in Florida too?

some of you certainly hit the nail on the head when you accuse this jerk of "teasing" people with washers and partz. He and his cohourt in crime FilterFlo sure know how to pull your cranks.........Rich suffers from "selective" memory about people he bothers to contact back.......He deliberately puts stuff up on here that often does not even exist except in photos only to tease us about wanting stuff....then wont answer his phone (he relies on caller ID---too cheap to get an answering machine) and then only dolts his "finds" out to his "close" buddies and only when he feels like it....We almost got rid of him and did get rid of his jerk friend FilterFLO (goodriddance) so we can add him to the list of "defectors" Mortician,TommyK, Twinkeboy, ChaChaBimbo, etc all...now if we could just get rid of know it alls and that fuzzy headed jew that runs this site..all would be BETTER so stick your washers up your train caboose ass TrainMan, and get lost

If I offended anybody:

I apologize. But, please understand our position. I received two emails from TrainGuy, showing machines he had available. He didn't put a price on them. I asked him what he wanted, realizing their true value, which is beyond my financial ability for the most part. I didn't get a response from him. Getting the full value for an item in a sale is very legitimate. Many of his collector pieces are worth thousands of dollars, and I understand. But an antique can't be sold on any price unless the buyer and seller can agree to the proper terms of a sale.

All anybody could ask of TrainGuy is this: Post the item for sale. It can be either on Craigs List, EBay, or it can even be announced on this site. Put a price on it! Somebody will buy! And they'll pay the shipping costs! What more could we want?

jmm63:

The messages exchanged between me and TrainGuy were about Frigidaire Unimatics and Rollermatics. From what I remember, they were not up for donations, but being offered for sale. This is why I was hoping he would quote me a price. I'd like something for an amount I can afford. But that doesn't mean I was expecting him to give it to me without at least being paid something for his time and effort in finding and fixing it. I guess I'm just one of those types who play by the book.

If one of these were available, working, in nice shape and gas powered, I'd be willing to toss a few bucks his way. Can't, because I've never heard from him. Can't imagine he's jerking anyone around, honestly, but its frustrating to never hear anything.

Thanks for the heads up, Robert. I truly hope to do some business with him, as he did send me a couple photos I like. One of which is of a Unimatic, the closest thing that even stands a remote chance of being available, to the Pulsamatic my grandmother had. I will definitely clear out a whole collection of model airplanes and find another home for my portable belt-drive Whirlpool and portable Kenmore dryer, just to make room for that one Frigidaire. I sure hope he'll hold it for me.

i would suggest you leave the nice guys on this site alone and cease with the venom spewing that only makes you look like the idiot you obviously are, and while ur at it, go fuck urself!

you can e mail me directly if ud like to spit some venom my way! won't bother me in the slightest! it would be fun!

well...

I can personally vouch for Rich (TrainGuy). A few years ago we exchanged machines (my WCI-59, to complete his set for his turquoise '67 WCIL). He is a quiet, pleasant gentleman. I needed some parts for getting it up to speed and he hooked me up. I'm sure there is a reason for his non-response, but as a fairly good judge of human nature, I know he's not out to screw anyone or intentionally deceive any of us.

Oh yeah...and no need to emphasize the posts with the "Archie Bunkerisms".

...nuff said.

Old as Dirt

Seeing the amazing truck loads of machines from Rich week after week and always, always wishing I could find the pipeline of the Holy Grail. Free is a non negotiable price. For that, the seller isn't obligated to offer a lot of promos. The guy is busy and direct. He took the time to take a picture, he hasn't given them to anybody yet and he'll check email the next time he's on the computer to post more pictures. Is there someone here that has luck with being discourteous and insulting the one person that holds the key to what it is you want? Interesting concept.
Dr Richie has an amazing collection of his own and the Blades of Water are my favorite. I also like cake and goodess knows Dr makes some of the best. I can tell you I haven't seen Robert but if he's Jewish it explains the head. Dr Richie should relax. While the GREAT Dr isn't fuzzy his head shots can take your breath away. Must be his excitement that makes the blood leave his brain. The Dr is an amazing human, not unlike vanGogh or Mozart. A tortured artist anyone would be envious of if he could relax and except his position is threatened by any of us. I am sad this rhetoric throws fuel on a fire no one needs to watch. Relax Dr, there's a place for you here if you play nice and make more cake.

Hate Speech

Please, Dr., don't call people names. It reflects very poorly on you and has no place here. Not one of us chooses the circumstances of our birth into this world. We need to learn to get along and respect differences, except in the case of some real Soft Serve Turds where it's just best to live as if they don't exist. Please don't call others here names. We are all we've got for support, in most cases, because people who are not interested in appliances don't understand. This place is a refuge from their attitudes. I know you have hurt my friend Robert, who was not even a party to your complaint, and you have hurt others, including me, very deeply. Tom

Nothing Negative

You would think a group of predominately gay guys, who all are interested in the same things, would get along better, but there always seems to be one or two who loves to spoil it for the rest of us, Ive been thru all this before in other clubs, for you who want to call names,HUSH, I learned thru my own mistakes its better to follow the golden rule,as for Robert, I have not found a more friendly, nicer person, the racist remarks just show a lack of education and common sense.
