Thank you for the link to the video! I visit your website almost every week, especially for the weekly picture. Unfortunately my French isn't very good. The video is great! I gather this is one of the first Indesit washing machines that pumped before it got into spin?

Hi and thank you for your kind message.
I think that this washing machine is the first INDESIT, or one of the first, to have a drain pump which runs before spinning. But I don't know the spin speed. And you?

I'm not sure about the spinspeed. IIRC those machines spun with 400rpm. I think Indesit introduced the higher spinspeed much later.

Spin Speed

Hi guys,

I think some Indesit machines like this one spun at 550rpm. The machine in the video looks so cool.

I was under the impression that Indesit did not introduce spin speeds of 500+ until the early 80's and that up until then the fastest spin was 400rpm, although I could be totally wrong.

I agree with you Paul, its a very cool machine.....I would love an Indesit from the 70's!

Hi Didier.

Like Louis, I too visit your website very regularly. Great website and, were i to have the skill (and time), I'd set up a similar site for all of mine and Rob's bits and pieces.

Lovely Indesit L6!

Wonderful machine and one which i was expecting to do spin drain. Very pleasantly surprised to hear the pump kick in.

My dad repaired an Indesit L6 for an Aunt of mine - i identified it, about a year ago as the Indesit L6SGB.

The actual machine he repaired is the one on the left, photographed in my parents garage, back in 1983.

Paul

Forgot to ask...

what is the model number of the machine that appears in the video?

Cheers
Paul

L6

Hi Guys.

I am sure Indesit brought out two L6 models, one with a 550rpm, and one with 400rpm.

Paul.

Spent many hours watching one of these, first auto washer Nan had, I remember my dad fitting clamp on water valves for her and the drain pipe went into her round kitchen sink, so you got the smell of washing detergents.
