1962 multimatic washer and electric flowing heat dryer available for sale. Make an offer. I'll be home on vacation September 5-13.

I also have an extra DCI-62 dryer and a DI-62 Imperial dryer available.

The outside looks mint on these. How does the insides look? And what is the operational status of these machines?

My parents had a set exactly like these!

Nice

These are absolutely beautiful machines. I can tell they come from a caring environment. I would kill to have these but fear that I don't have the expertise to maintain them to the level that they so deserve. I have only encountered a GMFrigidaire machine once in my travels. They were very uncommon in South Florida.

That being said, I would be interested in knowing what you think might be a fair price for the three sets listed.

Thanks

MRB

Do we have more detail photos of these machines available?

I do think these machines may be rather complex. Are these machines Rollermatics, or Dualmatics?

BTW, the lighted control panels on these definitely will light up a room, on energy saving florescent power! My parents used to leave the washer light on when I was out late at night as a "nite light". On the way in the house from the rear entrance to their house you came in immediately to the laundry room.
There is a switch to turn the lights on and off. You don't even have to have the washer on for them to "light up".

IMHO, I think this set is the best looking of all the GM Fridgidaires.

I would buy them now if I had the money! But unfortunately, I only have a 1-18 budget.

What is the asking price on these?

I think more information about these units has to be revealed before any serious discussion about purchase takes place.

I think a ballpark figure would be around $4,800.00 for the set, Whirlcool. At least, that would be their estimated fair market value from studying some EBay auctions in the past. But I could be wrong, and someone may get a good deal on this set. Since prized items like this are almost impossible for any of us to find, a little money helps in encouraging their transfer to a new owner.

Wow! At almost $5K minus shipping, I could buy a new Miele set.
But we can dream, can't we?

Although I'm Answering Emails In Order....

Your guestimate is about $4,050 more than I would ask. You have to realize that appliance collectors are in a finite group. I doubt that there are even 100 serious collectors.

Everyone screams "a unimatic....I want one" but I have not received one email for the 1956 unimatic set yet.

Well, you should have one now!!

I agree with Norfolksouthern on price.

Machines this nice & this rare are almost impossible to find not to mention obtain.

TrainGuy: You have received several emails about your Unimatics, and at minimum, two of them from turquoisedude. At least one of them was for the WC-56 set. I also sent you 3 emails at least, regarding a machine you have for sale but did not get a response yet. I hope you still have it, as I am still interested. But if it's beyond my reach, then I suppose I'll have to be content with my 1-18.

You seem to be underestimating the value of these appliances, as well as the number of serious collectors out there. You did mention that you have been swamped with requests, and my feeling is that this verifies a reasonably intense demand. And if the manufacturers continue to make junk HE front and top loaders with circuit boards, pumps, spiders, bearings, and seals that go out, I am sure that will have a positive impact on the value of our collectibles. I look forward to your response to my emails. By the way, I really do have a check waiting for you if the price for that one Frigidaire you offered me turns out to be within my means!

Might not be a bad idea to put these beautiful machines on e

You have an awesome collection - Have you considered putting youre machines on e-bay ?

Obviously alot of people here are confused & don`t know where they stand on the possibility of obtaining these machines from you .

An online auction would put an end to the confusion.

Just my opinion.
