Does any body know of any shops in Nor Cal that specialize in Vintage washers? I'd love to be able get my hands on a piano key Kenmore. Any info would be most appreciated.

I don't know that you'll find a "shop" which would have anything like that. The best suggestion I can offer is keep an eye here on AW, regularly visit your neighborhood thrift stores, and check Craig's List often, as they've been known to pop up occationally.

I hope this helps!

Darrel,
They have a lot of neat vintage stoves. One vintage wall oven. A few 1990's Maytag washers. A couple of 50's refrigerators. I would take some photos but they do not speak much english there.

I'm up in Eureka, and have the same issue. There's a second hand place in Ukiah that sometimes has some cool machines. They also have tons of old washer and dryer consoles hanging from the ceiling! Whenever I head south, I always check it out. I found a 1/18, late 60s Wards coppertone, and older Maytags there. There are a couple really old dryers there as well. The place is off of Redwood Valley Rd east of 101 and north of 20.

Once in a while

they have something exceptional, or near exceptional anyhow.
Mostly stoves and refers though, like you said.
They're a bit over the top price wise though!

NOTE TO PAT : Even though I've already written to you,
for the heck of it, drive from SR to just about Sonoma.
I can't remember if its Fetters Hot Springs , or Boyes Hot Springs, but on the West side of the Hiway is Johnny's Appliances (not to far South of Sonoma Mission Inn) Lots of
old (pricey) Stoves; some good refers and occasionally a
good vintage washing machine. fun, fun , fun!!!!
