these machines are very rare here in south carolina,so finding this was like finding a needle in a haystack. my coworker gave this to me on monday, it belonged to his grandparents and has spent all of its life in pimlico south carolina.I am very thankful that he thought of me when he decided to get rid of it. thanks Dale.

WOW! Congrats Don! That is a 1956 Cyclafabric, just like mine! Now there are 3 of this model in the club. Dick S. has one with a suds saver, my green one in the other thread, and yours! How cool!

Hey Rick-----

Other than the model number, how do you tell the '57 from the '56?

Hi Steve, The 56 has an all white control panel, and is lighted all the way across with six 7 watt bulbs. The console is slightly raised, and the chrome bezel goes all the way around the console.

The 57 has a white and bronze coloured control panel, the chrome bezel is on the top and sides only, and the console sits down directly on the top. It is also lighted on the right side only.

Here is a pixs of console of the original 57 that Robert rebuilt from the farm.

The 56's and the 57's are both beautiful machines!

No sudsaver. Thats something I have never seen before in South carolina,or at least none of my relatives had any.But I am just so happy to get this one because I have searched for years and have only found wringer washers around here.
