I want to check this dryer out. Wonder how old it is?

41 to 44 years old.

Dryer was manufactured between 1965 and 1968.

It is a Model 800 if I am not mistaking.

Yep, that is an 800. These and there washer matches were perhaps one of few to have been issued for four years without substantial revision or rebadging. I believe there was also a version of this dryer with a full width door.

Have a good one,
James

Extremely Reliable Dryer!

My aunt has one of these in white, bought new in 1968. Runs like a champ. Sadly, the matching 800 washer was retired years ago and replaced with one of the last of the BD Kennies.

This dryer was one or the few models made in two different mech types the later long lint filter style is a much better dryer bigger drum more reliable faster drying quieter and more energy efficient .

I agree with John, the later dryer design is better than the earlier, however for nostalgic reasons I like the belt-drive blower models.

I have a model of each of these - a 1965-built 800 with full-width door and belt-drive blower, and a 1967/68 built model with the larger drum and full fixed rear bulkhead.
