Today has been the most pleasant of days here in NC. Perfect weather and a cloudless sky, windows open, vintage fans running and the sounds and smells of the wash being done, a freshly cleaned house--courtesy of The Hoover, my comforter hanging out on the line, and downstairs the sounds of the Frigidaire thumping along, washing the sheets... now the work's all done and I'm relaxing on my fresh clean bed with my dog, a gentle breeze, and sunlight flooding the room... Today is a palate of sensory pleasures, life is good...

It was a great day in North Carolina yesterday. So glad you have the rollermatic and that it is back up working 100%. Nothing like having your "Dream Machine" and nothing like having a Frigidaire !!!

Hey Bob

I hope everyone is doing well down your way. If it were not for you I wouldn't be enjoying that Frigidaire, so again Thank you. Now that it's at 100%, there is nothing like it. Sheets are dry in 20 mins after the Rapidry.

I've been working the Turq '65 hard, it's my everyday machine, the 1-18 is resting right now after I rode it hard for a year.

I love the space-capsule-like Deep Action Agitator in Rollermatics.

Is it true they designed it to slow down rollover so as not to tangle loads as much as the rubber-ringed agitators in the Uni-and Multimatics?

Yes, I think so, the rollover in the machine is the same as in my 1-18 however, with either machine if you load it improperly, and too full, you can expect tangling to occur, I think this is true with any machine. I definetly prefer the overflow rinsing of the solid tub, thing smell so sweet when you remove them from the machine.

I read on here some time ago a post someone did about loading a Frigidaire in "quadrants" and that does seem to be most effective and the least tangles, and also makes for a nicely balanced tub.

Joe, the instructions on the underside of the lid don't show you to do that?

I went down to look and the Rapidry has no instructions on the underside lid, both the 1-18 and the '65 Rollermatic just say "load clothes loosely to rim of tub", doesn't say anything about quadrants, I just got that off of here and found it to work better.

Beautiful day in Hawaii too.I went thrifting and got a Eureka boss upright in mint for $10 and a great Sony boombox W/dual casette,CD and AM/FM stereo for $10 and it works great. We(friends I met from their using our laundromat) were out shopping fir supplies and food needed to be prepaired for the "baby cellibration" we had at Spencer Beach yesterday. It was the best time I have had here since I arived in December. The weather was picture perfect ans everybody ate, swam, talked about many different things, sang, danced and played. We stayed to watch a gorgious sunset and went our own ways.I got home at 8PM where another newborn's celebration.Saturday night,I made two cold oven cakes, two sets of Jello with sliced bananas and two sets of home cokked tapioca. Each item was dyed blue or pink using food coloring. The pink ones stayed here for Tiera,a cute as a button baby girl and the blue ones went with us to the veach for Kender,a happy baby boy.
