That washer looks like a WCI-made machine to me. If so, you'll join the "indexing tub" club!

that machine is a White-Westinghouse-Montgomery Ward. I had one of these labeled "Montgomery Ward" instead of "Signature 2000". When I worked there, only the Norge's were labeled "Signature" anything.

Yes, my mom's last dryer was a Norge Signature 2000 from Wards. It wasn't anything real special with looks or substance, but I have to say it was quiet and ran without any problems for many years. The buzzer was loud enough to knock anyone out of their chair, and there was no adjustment that I could find. This dryer was functioning perfectly when it was replaced about a year ago with our new Affinity pair. The absolute P-O-S vintage 2000 GE BOL washer prompted the sweep through the laundry room. I wouldn't wish that flimsy thing on anyone, but when the delivery guy asked how the dryer worked I told him it was a good one. He may have grabbed it for himself since it was going to end up out behind a Lowe's. I've been long ago spooked by any Wards washer, and could never recommend one. They should have included a few pairs of earplugs with each one they sold.
