They say it's ventless, and I see what looks like a drawer at the bottom but it says "flowing heat" on the control panel. It would greatly benefit them to allow couriers to pick up.

Can Understand Bias Against Shipping Service

First, should anything happen to the dryer it becomes a game of pointing fingers. Shipper will say the damage was there when they picked it up, seller will say no it wasn't, and then we're off to the races.

Next, considering the strange goings on today, would be cautious of letting a bunch of strange men into my home as well. Granted selling things on CL does mean someone is coming over to one's home, but things can be done to mitigate any threat.

Being as the last point may be, think the main reason is all the bother and such that comes with a third party shipping service showing up, instead of the buyer themselves.

What a REALLY kind, generous and fantastic club memember could do is offer to go complete the deal and either have shippers meet him there and crate it on site, or bring the thing elsewhere for shipping.

In any event, the dryer looks wonderful and do hope someone nabs it.

L.

Looks like a '62

Yeah, a 1962. The glass is broken in the usual place (to the right and just below where it says Custom Imperial. I think torquing of the console when moving the machines does it. I rarely have seen a '62 or '63 that isn't broken or cracked in the same spot.

This machine is heavy as hell.
