ive finally desciden on what machine im getting to replace the Haier... the Hotpoint WML540G... seems a gud machine and is reasonably priced at 379 euro. the only problem is i wanted a super silent one but its an extra hundred euro for the upper model. ive seen vids of it on you tube and i quite like it.. if anyone on here has one could they comment on it..

If your heart is set on a Hotpoint sililar to the one pictured I'd definately get the super silent model. The spin on my WD440 was very very noisy. Although if you re spending that much on a Hotpoint I think you'd be way better off with the Aqualtis......but I know you really like the style of the other Hotpoints. Anyway, best of luck on choosing a new machine!

Hi Luke, its a very popular selling machine, I did think it looked cluttered when it first came out, but to us washaholics its great with all those controls for, time, temp, spin speed & options, Louder than Aqualtis on spin as Paul says but the latest machine I heard was certainly quieter than a model sold early on!!! Enjoy it and look forward to the review!! |

....at least it's cheaper. And why bother with a Super Silent? Theyre only quiet for the first 18 months anyway. Till the bearings go! |

i know that hotpoint has a bad reputation but so far ive heard nothing but good things about them over here and no matter what because of the time we had with our old ariston( i think i mite have finally got the model number tink its CW810 but im not sure) anyway i will always be loyal to ariston or any ariston related applicance( dont like the look of all the new indesit though) but i love the new hotpoints and i am going to get it hopefully next month and with my constant watch when anyone is using it i will make sure that it will last as long as possible without any repairs.

Matt, quit being so bloody negative boyo! Don't make me come up there! Luke, I hope your Hotpoint serves you well. Personally, I'm not a fan, purely because under all those bottons, dials, lights and the cool shaped door, it's an Indesit and in my experience with that particular brand, they've been nothing but trouble. Also, we had an Electra-made Hotpoint when I was younger and it was a god-awful machine. Having said that, my flatmates Mum has the older style to the one you're getting and she loves it. I suppose it's all a matter of opinion. Happy washing. |
