i was the highest bidder on this g.e. mobile maid. in fact i was the only bidder and i won it for 99 cents! now i have to figure out how to get it here, don't have the money for u crate it right now, or even jim the trucker. i was just in rochester this summer twice when i visited walt (18millst) it's not that far of a drive. guess i can throw it in the jeep. i have one of these already that i rebuilt this summer, use it several times a week, got the replacement parts from larry in parma. he still has seals and even motors! just love these old g.e. dishwashers! when there is a will......... there's relatives! i'll figure something out here! |

And may be closing on something by tomorrow, thus will use one of the bidders. Basically you tell other members of the sight (truckers, shippers, men with vans, moving services, etc) what you've got, where it is coming from and where it is going; then wait for shippers to "bid" for the "route". Several members have used the service and most seem happy. Just use your head and proper caution in choosing someone and things should go well. As for One, my thing was to read feedback left by customers. Shippers that couldn't be reached, didn't show up and or deliver when they were supposed to, lacked insurance and a few other things that ticked me off, had bids declined. |

i got from larry last spring plus the motor i took out of my other one when i replaced it is still good so i shouldn't have any problem i guess. and i spoke with larry yesterday and he still has motors for those g.e.'s and more seals if anyone else needs one. the only thing that is non existent are wash pump impellers! no one has any! so it is imperative not to damage one when removing it. i made that puller out of boards this summer and it worked great. here's a pic and i saved it in case i have to use it on this one. i used to look at those g.e. mobile maids when i was a kid and they fascinated me. the one i have is still my favorite top loader in my kitchen. i used it today actually. so much fun, noisy as hell! motor really grunts and groans as it pumps that water! it is too much fun! was hopin to find another and for a buck, why not! |
