No longer belong to THS, but the amount of back and forth that goes on over something easily found out is amazing. Poster wants to run a 220v Miele washer on 120v and has latched on to the "converter" part number from an old Miele washer manual. The part in question only applied to very early imports to the USA, and ceased after the 1065 and 1070 models. Starting with the 1918, all Miele washers sold in the USA were 120v/220v, but could not run strictly on 120v power only. Conversion part worked by closing off one power leg of the heater and rewiring the connector box for "1/2" power. Anywho the conversion part is NLA according to Miele, at least what they told one several months ago. As with all parts for older Miele units, the 1**** series have started to reach the mark that Miele promises to keep parts in stock. MieleUSA will no longer import this part on it's own, however do not know if they would special order. |
