I don't check out Craigslist very often, which is probably a good thing. But I saw this today...a 1967 Kenmore 70 'Low Silouette' as the catalog calls it, and is that a Hotpoint dryer?

Little pricey huh?

Gordon

Hi Gordon

Am I seeing right? Is that an open panel, or does the top really look like that--another "never seen before."

Mike -

That is a panel with a sliding door basically. It is shown in the open position, but it can be closed to conceal the controls.

I get it now, thanks, G.

It flips upward and hides the controls, a reverse of the LK's garage door. Wonderful Kenmore logic.

that washer control panel almost looks like that of the "Match All" dryers that were around then, bet that washer would have looked good next to Mom's Match All that she had

That Kenmore is the same, exact model my Aunt Natily replaced her 1957 Space Mates with!! She got a kenmore gas dryer a few years later.

Yes Gordon that is a Hotpoint dryer. Funny coincidence because the washer is the Low Silhouette Kenmore, and the dryer, if I'm correct, is one of the Silhouette models of Hotpoint.

Have a good one,
James

Sorry you missed out on the BOL Kenmore. That would have been a fun one for you.
