Well I finally ordered a machine I've been wanting for quite some time. It gets delivered Friday, and I'll take some unboxing photos for you guys ;-) I decided to spend the extra $100 for the Titanium color. My partner may kick my ass when he returns from Antartica in March, but I'll at least have had fun using it until then... *Shhhh*.

Andrew

Decided to go with the dream machine instead...

Well after much deliberation, I decided to spend an extra $600 and get my dream washer. Cancelled my LG order today and will be ordering a Miele W3033. Free shipping and no sales tax is nice too. $2050 - Should be here in a couple of weeks hopefully. I'll create a new post once I get it and share some information about it with some unboxing photos.

Now I'll just be craving the matching dryer, but that will have to wait. I decided to go with white vs the Stainless model because I think stainless is a royal pain to keep clean. My Kitchenaid stainless toaster has some stains on the top from butter, and I can't get it out. Have tried everything! White is a safe way to go on this splurge.

I thought long and hard about the entire purchase, dollars vs product, and decided that I might as well just go all out and get the Miele.

You certainly made the right choice

Miele wins hands down!

Best made machines you can buy these days by a long shot. Should last a good 20 years+ average use. That famous sturdy German engineering at it's best!

Nothing washes or cares for fabircs like a Miele.

I know they're really expensive in the U.S. but I'm still convinced it'll be worth the expense.

Now just to get one for myself...as soon as my Mother's Whirlpool dies a death :-).

Best of luck with the new machine!

Matt

I wanna come play with the Miele! I have vacuums to offer the washing machine as a sacrifice! Did you order from OK? Hee hee. Will you keep the LG you just got or sell it?

You will not be disappointed!!! I just ADORE my Miele! If I had to sell all of my machines and keep just ONE it would be my Miele W1215!!! Although your machine is 110V versus mine being 220V, I still believe you will be incredibly impressed! When my machine was delivered, the delivery people said it was the heaviest appliance they had ever moved! And they worked for the local appliance store! :D

I am so relieved that you did not buy trouble and disappointment. I love my Miele washers and I know you will love yours also. I get excellent results from powder Tide HE and STPP. Congratulations.

Thanks

Well I can't say that I agree that the LG's are problem prone, as I've have very good service from mine. But I can say that I am absolutely thrilled and still in shock that I'm finally getting a Miele Washer. (Yes I had a hell of a time with a Miele S7 vacuum with it's jank hose), but I know that that Miele has their washers down to a science.

Cannot wait!

Stainless steel care

Nothing compares Dr Weigert's Neoblank spray. It's a bit expensive, anyway it last for decades ...

Congrats Andrew. Your washer in november 2020 will look the same like today. White plastic fascias usually fade into yellowish within 6 or 7 years. Miele ones don't.
