Here's a second round of pics - this time of the Maytag E2LPS wringer washer I acquired in September. The foot pedal mechanism was already disconnected/disabled when I got it, which I didn't mind as I wouldn't have wanted to use it anyway. (although, I must admit, I am curious to see one.)

Thanks to Geoff Delp for checking the serial number and determining the manufacturing date to be Dec. 1977.

I LOVE this machine! It does such a fantastic job cleaning.

Trust me Brad, I've used that god-forsaken foot pedal contraption, and it is a royal PITA. You're better off not aggravating yourself.

I read that most users parked one of the wheels on the thing. It was about as popular as the early dead-man's switch on power mowers. Lovely machine.

HI Brad

Great looking Maytag and yes they do wash well. I have one and I took that pesky wringer pedal off and put a bolt of corresponding size in the hole, so no problem. Have fun with your new machine, they are the best. Happy Thanksgiving. Gary
