There are porcelain repair kits that you can mix your own to get the correct color. I haven't used them but it might be worth a try. |

I think even if it had one chip-and the unit worked- I would try to round up some strong freinds and a truck capable of hauling it and take it off his hands-you might be able to swap it for a favorite dishwasher-the machine sounds too good to leave behind. |

Mike you should go grab it and fix the paint chips up. We had a Moffat double wide growing up, only 4 burners, the second oven was really a warming oven only. Beautiful control console and mechanical timer built in. My mother really loved it and misses it since she had her kitchen reno. In the end there's bound to be someone or some vintage store in Toronto that will pay good bucks for it. |
