i was looking in power city last friday and he hotpoint machine im hopeing to get now features the standerd indesit drum which has put me of quite a bit as i prefare the drum used on the uk made ones but the white version of it still has the original drum whats going on here?

I don't know. Our 8 1/2 month old WML 540G has the other Hottie Drum.

All "Hotpoints" are now Italian made and are identical to Indesits with the exception of the door/cabinet and control panel design....

Anyone who pays extra for the Hotpoint name is stupid IMHO- unless they particually want the Graphite colour....

We have no more the ARISTON badge. Everything now is badged HOTPOINT-ARISTON ... unless is INDESIT. Anyway as happens in E'lux parish - AEG and Zanussi share more and more components e.g. dishwasher filters- the same does Indesit CO with Hotpoint and Indesit

Watch this vid of the Merloni plants : Aqualtis, non-aqualtis, Indesit (Moon) are all made in the very same plant in Comunanza

WML540G has a welded glued together cheap drum, if the bearings go its new machine time. . .

WMD740 has indesit drum

Ariston4life even the 7kg ultimas WMD740P/G have the indesit drums too, have u looked at the WML740G that has my hotpoint drum and wml560g had too Ultima 940s have my drum too.

i dont like the indedsit drums i prefer the normal hotpoint drum that was first used in the wml540g.

Id look in for the 740 aquarius + for hotpoint drum, but Dont go for the AQ+ WMF730 thats indesit drum 2
