New Zealand. They've been working for about six years on establishing a presence in the U.S. and apparently have reached the point where manufacturing "locally" is more cost-effective than shipping internationally. They bought DCS recently, and as I understand it the plans are to make use of a DCS manufacturing facility. |

I was at a close out sale at Home Expo an upscale retail experiment(failed) of Home Depot and I asked about the Fisher & Paykel washers and the salesman told me that they were INDIAN made. Indian? Yes, like in India! |

DCS stands for Dynamic Cooking System I believe. Their ranges look nice, but CR never really had nice things to say about them. I myself would rather have a Viking, Wolf, Dacor, or Vulcan-Hart instead. |
