i am almost posotive it is one of the last belt drive whirlpools, i can tell by the handle on the washer, this is almost the same exact model i grew up with, even with the push button water temperature selection.

I looks like the last set I bought for my mother with the wings on the surgilator. I didn't like the plastic handle on the lid.

That is one of the last BD models. We had the exact dryer in gas also, and we got it in April of 1986. I did see the washer in a little appliance shop in our neighborhood as late as September of 1988 amidst a sea of newer DD models. I am guessing the owners of the store were heavily promoting those. This, coupled with the store having a limited number of customers is why the BD washer was still on the floor after 2 to 3 years. It was the first Whirlpool I have seen with a white tub. I wanted it like you would not believe, but we were not ready for a new washer.

Have a good one,
James
