Could it be a rebadged Samsung?

Actually, the dryer interior looks like BOSCH to me!

2.6 cu. ft. is awefully small, but the small footprint is great for very limited space situations or where doors aren't very wide to set up one of the very large front loaders.

Kenmore has something similar now by LG:

I know we've seen the rebadged LG-made Kenmores, but it now seems they have a control panel that is exclusive to Kenmore...

I don't think the kenmore LG is like this new GE. The GE is a 24 inch compact model. I saw the LG Kenmore and it is 27 inch and a completly different animal.

Looks like a Samsung to me.

HI everyone. This new GE seems very similar to this Samsung model sold in Australia...

I must say looking at GE's website they have some nice looking products. It's a shame they are not sold in Australia anymore. They were a popular brand before but then GE's importation became part of the ill-fated Kleenmaid group. It would be interesting to see these appliances again in Australia distributed by someone who would sell them at reasonable prices.

that GE dryer is GE's home grown dryer design from way back in 70s or earlier???
The rear vent plate is similar to Bosch.
They showed them making GE dryers on 'How It's Made' once. I believe they're made in Canada.

I thought all new GE's were made in Mexico.

I believe that....

The GE washers are now made in Mexico but that the dryers are still made here in Canada.
I'm not 100% sure but I think that most GE dryers are still made here, but perhaps not ALL models of them are.
Also, I believe that North American F&P dryers, (the front load types-not the top load ones) are also actually rebadged Canadian made GE's.
