I don't think it's an Imperial. I think it's a Custom with energy saver dry. My logic? The similar Imperial I knew had the Soak Cycle button almost by itself so to speak on the far left side of the gaggle of buttons, then the full cycle and rinse & hold buttons together like shown here and then the energy save dry button.

but i can't tell either if it's custom or imperial. i have a kdc-17 but my custom model has a different look than this one. i'm hoping it's an imperial, gonna e mail the guy now, columbus is a hop skip and a jump and def worth driving up for.

Definitely an Imperial

It's got an "on" indicator light, a white panel and 3 buttons. There wasn't an energy saver button on a KDI-17. That would be a KDI-17a and IIRC on those, the button started its career brown, as on our KDC-17a, not chrome.

and the info, i added it to my collection of photo info.

as for the dishwasher i have sent 2 e mails with no response. told the guy i will buy it definately and pick up friday but so far no answer. we shall see, i would like to add it to my collection, don't have a kdi-17 just a kdc-17 and a bunch of kds-17a's.

but, hey if it doesn't work out it's not the end of the world. guess i'll see here.
