I'm going to start the restoration of my Maytag Model 140. I need some help with any service manuels or other materials that will help me with this project. Would appreciate any information and advice from the "Maytag Guys". Bob |

Does this one use the helical drive transmission we all know and love, or is it an AMP design? If it uses the helical drive, please take LOTS of pictures if you open up the transmission to change the oil. I'll need to tackle this soon and am very nervous since I don't know how to do it or what to look for. Good luck, Dave |

Bob - you are in luck. I scanned the AMP service manual sometime last year and had Robert post it for us in the Service Manual section. It will cover the AMP basics, but does not have the specific section to the 140. You shouldn't need the 140 section for your rebuild. Keep us posted with your progress! I have a 140 that looks pretty in the corner. And that is where it will stay for a while ;-) Ben CLICK HERE TO GO TO swestoyz's LINK |
