John, I'm assuming the coppertone Philco Bendix is a dryer. Is that Philco washer its match mate? Did you just bring back the control panel of the Westy Dryer? (that's POD with the washer sometimes). that Kenmore pair, I believe that panel with the dial the way it is, is one of Scott's favorite styles. Very nice SQ. Aren't those kinda rare?

My grandmother had that very same washer. I believe it's a late 60's model. |

Great Kenmore pair you've got there. Those are 70/700 series models from 1970. The washer should have the gold Super Rotoswirl, and I believe that window dial lights up. Have a good one, James |

The 1984 SQ set seems to work but had lived in a very smokey house. I already had an almond 1988 electric model that i had in pieces because when Tom and i found it, it had been dropped off a delivery truck on the dryer top and the cabinet was destroyed. Yesterday I parted out the one pictured for the dryer cabinet and top trim and a few other smaller parts ( another appliance killed buy 2nd hand smoke) it was making the whole warehouse smell sadly the owner probably died before the SQ. Its an interesting machine the washer and dryer are the same size tubs as thier standard models the washer has the SS tub they both are lighted inside. The dryer is turned upside down with the motor and heater assembly being at the very top so the dryer drum is easer to reach into. The washer tilts out for loading and unloading it has a neat electictly controlled locking system to keep you from tilting the washer when its full of water and best of all its the only SQ ever with neutral drain as they used a nice HD electric drain pump so it rinse better and won't redeposit lint like thier regular perforated tub models can. More pictures to come I haven't had a chance to play with the Philcos yet but they are complete and look promising. The 1970 KM pair is in excellent shape and should be a piece of cake too put in good working shape.

The SQ stack pair is a top loading tilt out design, its the same washer& dryer they made thought out the 1980s in a very creative and over built package. I just spent a few hours reassembling the dryer section of this machine. SQ washers & dryers of this era are rather plain utilitarian machines but its rare and now makes 10 stack-pairs I have to line up at the museum guess what the other 9 are.

I really enjoyed seeing the Westinghouse 30" range. I have one like it that was my Mom's. Is this something that you've had in your collection for some time, or did you just get it? It looks to be in great shape. |

Ted, what year is the Westinghouse shown in the beautiful kitchen? IIRC they made that cabinet style from '53 to '57. I've only seen one other of that style in person. |

Ugh! I had no idea that the '56 Frigidaire range shown was something special. I bought an 1884 Victorian farmhouse that came with the same model (in pank!) stove in it and sold the stove for $100...didn't think anyone would be interested in it. It was a cool stove and I loved how when you opened the oven doors, the racks came out to greet you!
