Hi Pete, I have just gotten rid of my AEG 76669 update 1600 spin for the same reason, I could of got it fixed but with the amount of washing being done it was quicker to replace the whole machine. I know you can replace the armature and the bearings on the motor but I was told it would be in excess of 60 quid. Have a little look on ebay as they do pop up now and then or maybe a donor machine for the motor from it plus the option of keepin spares for the future. Hope you get it sorted, I miss my AEG now and sorry I never spent the time getting it sorted Robbie |
