We've got a Bosch Logixx 8 and it's basically a good machine, but one thing that is really annoying me is the stupid touch-button control panel.

It is WAY too sensitive to being brushed against.

Our machine is located in a utility room, just off the kitchen.

Anytime anyone walks past the machine, or accidentally touches against the front panel (which is quite easy to do) the machine ends up pausing the wash.

We've even accidentally started the machine by bumping against the front panel. It just starts whatever wash was run last if you touch start/pause.

It's a really poor design and frankly, I am surprised at BSH (Bosch Siemens Appliances) lack of attention to detail on this issue!

It's the first and the last Bosch washing machine that will be in my household!

Lockout?

Isn't there a child lock option that would disable the touch screen?

I have heard other people complain about the sensitivity of the buttons.
Otherwise a good machine

Bosch aren't all they used to be...

I had a Bosch Fl in the previous house and have to say it was incredibly poor...those touch buttons were incredibly annoying! The washer was in the kitchen, so these buttons regularly got brushed and options changed mid-cycle. Apart from that, the motor brushes burnt out after two and half years (so much for BSH longevity), its rinsing was hopeless and the 'A' rated cycles (wash plus) incredibly long...so glad to see the back of it! Now back to normal with Hotpoint and Zanussi top-loaders - so, so much better!

My sister's TOL Bosch dryer died after two and half years too...maybe Bosch aren't all they are cracked up to be...

I'm looking to buy the logixx 8, my brother has a classix 6 which also has the touch sensitive buttons, never noticed a problem.

I have a Bosch WFF2000 i'm hoping it won't be too disimilar. Bosch have gotten there act together more recently interms of improved interm spins and water usage on normal progs for adequate rinsing, if not there is always the aqua plus option which is like higher water level button my WFF2000.

I'm still going to buy one.
