I have a chance to get this and I am not sure what it is. It has wonderful racks and after everybody lauded the 18 and 19 series with the upper rack spray arm, I got a curious:

I'm going to say NOT.
I have a nice KDS 20 That's Mint. Connecticut is not that far. I could deliver it to you. I can e-mail you pics if you're interested. Eddie

I believe it is one of the last Hobarts.

Hobart!

Yes I think this is one of the last ones.
I have a friend that had this same model. Whirlpool had made some changes but it is still the Hobart design!

One in Black

I bought one of these in black back in the early 90's. A great unit.

Nope.

It's a Whirlpool. The 23 series was the last of the really good ones (the last of the Hobarts was in the 21 series). I don't know what this is, but it's definitely not a 21.

Nope its not a Hobart design. The racks and the machine look like it but it has the PowerClean module design and it does have a 1/2 hp motor. I had this model before I put a Miele Premium dishwasher in my condo. Great machine but it only has a purge and 1 final rinse on the cycles.

That is the last of the HOBORT designs.
Like Malcolm my friend had this in black and i wanted to give to the members here, but he trashed it before i got to it darn it .
This is where WHIRLPOOL came in to play with there ( Family style console )
and stainless steel tub. No longer HOBORT.
Here is the pic from one of the group members.

This is like a KDS23 or KDS22. Combo52 said this is one of the best because it combines the best of Whirlpool PowerClean module and KitchenAid porcelain inspired tub and racks.

Thanks Bob ...I stand corrected the control panel confuses me , Bob in that machine is the power clean module in the sump area has those square holes where the water recirculate ?
So some models with that control panel was a HOBORT design and then WHIRLPOOL came in with there wash system right ?
I know with the one in the picture was WHIRLPOOL with a stainless tub.
Thanks.

Darren, I may be somewhat off in my description, but I view this as a hobart-type shell (porcelain) with KA 18-23 series type racks and a PowerClean module.

That "modern" KA pictured up there looks like a KDS25, Mr. Jetcone could confirm that with me cuz he has one!!
