Guy , I haven't seen one in North America either, while the UK seems to brim with them. I totally love "Wringer Automatics." Alas, the closest we have here is the Lidded Square Maytag. But your find is the real thing. Just look at all those important looking automatic-like controls. Wonder if it heats. It MUST. Look at the enormous chrome wringer. What style! Wish they would have reset it before its photo debut. Wait till Geoff and all the wonderful Aworg wringer men, women, and children see this. Thanks for sharing, Guy. |

Coronado badged appliances were sold by Gambles stores in the US. In Canada, Macleods Hardware, and Stedman's Dept. Stores were the outlets. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

go all the way to the floor? Maybe we'll find one!!! Wouldn't that be nice, or maybe Guy will get the one in the ad. GUY, any more info? Why don't you go for it, Man? Wouldn't it be fun to have that baby boiling away in the kitchen on a cold winter Saturday while cooking up some nice waffles, sausage, and coffee. Mmmmmmmm. Such comfort, |

Ohh that washer looks a beauty, and the chrome wringer very impressive, now it looks very similar to the English Electric "Wash n Rinse" wringer washer from the 60`s...the controls where for motor, wash, heat & pump drain...the heater was 3kw. Instructions where to wash all your clothes then wring them, stacking them on the sink drainer or in the bath...then you would hook the empty hose and pump out the washwater...fill the machine with clean water for rinsing and then reduce the fresh water coming in to the speed of the water being pumped out....then add the clothes until water was clear and wring!! So it was a sort of continuous wring etc....now Jennifer, our next door neighbour had one and I used to be mesmerised watching her in action with the continuous rinse!!!...I had only ever seen relatives wash in the tub & wring and then rinse in the sink and ring again!! I hope someone here gets the Coronado!!! CLICK HERE TO GO TO chestermikeuk's LINK |
