Please post a picture. I am no expert on Bendix machines, but a pic would help those not familiar with their model nomenclature to identify it. It may be a bolt down machine without suspension, or it may be newer.

Thanks,
Dave

Model B was last used to designate the Deluxe model in 1947. The Deluxe model with the flat cabinet top and the controls on the backsplash was introduced in 1941.

What is the serial number on the washer - ?? By the door I would say it is in the range of 500 to 64,000.

This is very early one.......

Ben

Interesting

Have never seen one with the downward opening door before. Must not have made them like this for long.

I think the POD from this washer had a 1938 logo on it. This could be the very first Bendix.

I notice the door is different on Multi-Cycle's machine from the one in PeterH's pic from 1936. Is the one Multi-Cycle has just a more basic model, or perhaps made earlier or later?

Serial number

I checked the tag again and it doesn't have one listed.Just has a B for model and a space that says machine number which is blank.

Hi, I just bought a model B Bendix automatic washing machine and I am looking for parts for it, mainly so far the door seal and the black bakelite or plastic dial indicator that is located above the dial-if anyone has parts or info to spare...

Multicycle, as others have posted, thats the real 1930's "Art Deco" machine. Nice hotpoint in the back ground too. alr2903
