It's going to take awhile to get all 33 pages resized and loaded, but here are the first ones.

Interesting. Not quite completely assimilated. There are obviously still a bunch of Hotpoint components still in 1971 like racks, some of the wash impellers(the blackish ones) and some of the dispensers, but the Hotpoint is being phased out. I don't think Hotpoint ever had a top-loading machine. Those must have been mostly GE parts.

Robyn, you're the top!

Were these Hotpoints made in the W. Taylor St., Chicago or Appliance Park, Louisville plant? The GHSS300 undersink model looks almost exactly like the undersink GE had at the time.

WOW! Thanks. I have a HP convertible portable older than this, but with the traditional HP black wash arm with the pump under it like the front-load machines pictured here. I always wondered what the pot smasher cycle was like and now I know. Very different from the GE-made top-load portables. Again, thanks.

I am so glad that these have an audience.

Hey guys,

I'm really glad that you all are finding these interesting and informative. I don't know where the machines were made but I can tell you that the back of the book says "Hotpoint Dishwasher and Disposall Department General Electric Company
Appliance Park - Louisville, Kentucky 40225

From the sounds of things, I guess I'm figuring out why the dishwasher I want is going to be so elusive. All the Hotpoint fans out there cherish the older ones over the ones of this later time period. Oh well, the search continues. I just wish that vintage appliances would show up in the DC area more on Craigslist. I do searches for them but finding a 1950's Hotpoint of any kind seems rare around here.

My Godfather & his wife replaced their Tappan dishwawsher (with that rolling cylindar to distribute the water) with the model with the Sani-Cycle. Never waws round to see it run or used by that time.
