...i junked in 1982: couple,knowing i was a gearhead of all
machines,offered me a coppertone,window lidfrigidaire they
said was 8yrs old(it had the belt driven roller mechanism
and white, dual section turbine pump, and as i remember lots
of pushbuttons on th panel)Presuming there was something
wrong with the washer it was eagerly stripped for parts and
technical examination, with the unwanted remains going into
the dumpster.About a week later i saw the couple again and
mentioned that i noticed no problems with anything as i
stripped the machine, they told me it worked fine, they just
bought a new one because this one was old!!
As a 13yr old boy i could not beleve someone would throw out
a working washer this cool.
I would LOVE to have this machine today...
BTW somehow i still have the motor pulley and a tranny roller
to this day :p
