Hey guys, this has bugged me for ages and i've trawled vids on YouTube trying to find the answer with no luck so i've decided to ask for help from you guys....

There is an advert i remember from when i was really young (mid-late 80's) and for some reason it sticks in my head as being a BT advert although i could be wrong, but it involves someone standing in a kitchen on a phone with water up to the knees, there is a washing machine opposite and the door bursts open and spews out loads more water, the person edges over to the machine and shuts the door, all whilst still being on the phone (i think it also had a dog in a basket floating past)

I can't find any trace of it and i'm sure i didn't dream it, does it ring any bells with you guys?

Hmmm, maybe not a BT advert...

But possibly an insurance advert? There was an insurance advert that had a tin of dog food being placed in an oven, then the cooker exploded.

The only British Telecom adverts that I remember were:
GPO 'Buzby' (cartoon character),
BT 'Quasimodo' (spoof),
BT 'Beattie' (Maureen Lipmann).

Buzby is the first and earliest TV advert I can remember, we only had a colour TV in the late 80’s, so never new he was yellow.

mid eighties Favorit - curved control panel

in this old thread there are the Favorit 525 ( dial + keys) and Favorit 625 (keys only). In the same catalogue there is the Favorit 425 similar to the above 420.

These were the first Favorits with an adjustable upper rack (upper arm supplied by a venturi cone)

There was one or two adverts with conversational wives having a fag and a brew over the phone in the 90's... ok maybe not a fag. I think they had machines in the background. Cant remember what though.

From the era when BT used this as a theme tune for each advert.
