Found an Easy (unknown working condition) in NJ. Looks like it has seen better days, and the guy will accept $40 after I put in a lower offer. Is it worth it? I asked him if it is working or not, but he did not reply to that. Was about to send another e-mail and wanted to get some thoughts?

About the one I have

The tranny is shot on it currently. Only spin dries, but no agitation. The agitator sort of wobbles and that's about it. More like there will have to be made room for it. It's dumping week and weekend! Big time!! Understand your curiosity though Toggles lol. That was my same thought.

BTW, it is just the first one I am after, hoping others might be interested in the rest and save these beauties.

Planned Obsolesence

My great aunt Tootsie had three Easy spin dryer machines. She swore they were planned to last exactly 5 years washing for her family of 4. She replaced the last one with a 1959 suds saver Kenmore just like the one Ross in Tucson has. It broke the 5 year rule 4 times.

#1 for 40 bucks sure. It'll clean up. Go for it.

#2 is the Age of Easy, late 50's, the classic. (Yesterday, on local news this very machine was featured in a preserved old house segment. The called it a spin washer; it was mint, like this one. In the clip they spent the most time on the machine, and in the ad for the evening news they showed only it as the hook. I was giddy and delirious, not mention stunned.

#3. This could be BOL OR!!! the one Brad and Tom and I are trying to discover, which fills from the bottom.

Good luck on getting a working Easy, #2 if you've got the means.
