The washer Iīm describing is 35 years old. They were built in Mexico in the mid 70īs. This model is a AD298, itīs the most complete model. I will describe all the control panel then add some pictures and videos from a washing cycle. From right to left we first have the control knob, it has only 3 washing programs: Regular cycle (with 15 to 5 minutes agitation, spin, rinse, last spin (it lasts about 10 minutes)), Delicate cycle (with 3 min agitation, spin, rinse, last spin), Prewash (with 5 minute agitation and spin), then we have the water economizing push bottom (by pressing it while itīs filling you can make the washer start its agitation and stop filling at any time, it can even start without water, this means this washer has only one automatic water level that can be modified at any time; then we have the wash/spin speed selector, it has 4 combinations normal/normal, normal/gentle, gentle/normal, gentle/gentle, beside is the wash/rinse water temperature selector it has 5 combination hot/cold, hot/warm, cold/cold, warm/warm, warm/cold, at the end it has a the soaking selector using this you can soak your clothes from 15 minutes up to 20 hours, this could only be used in the regular cycle, you select the time you want it to soak while its filling, and after itīs full the agitation will not proceed until the soaking time ends.

As you can see it uses the spirilator agitator, its tub doesnīt have holes, it has only a hole line on the top of the tub where water drains while its filling to fill the outer tub or while itīs spinning. A curious thing about this washer is that the outer is just filled about 10 cms instead of filling the whole tub. This is done to make the Filter Flo work, and while its agitating water keep going through the holes avoiding the outer tub gets empty so the water keeps recirculating. (Iīll post some pictures later of its insides).

that agitator reminds me of early-'70s hotpoint
and there is '70s/'80s WP/KM timer knob, though that may
have been supplied by timer mfg.

Thanks for the pictures! What a nifty machine. Like old US Easys, lots of Hotpoint features under and including that lid. Love to see the video.

Nice machine!
It looks like they took three machines and crammed it into one. Kenmore/Hotpoint/Speed Queen.

Great video and very nice design. It looks to wash really well. The rollover is great. I like the way it spins also. Does it do a deep overflow rinse?
Thanks,
Peter

Ugh that Easy Automatica is absolutely beautiful!!!!

I'm assuming that is Speed Queen made transmission and drive, and yet it seems to appear that the clutch brings the tub up to speed in this machine a bit slower than a Speed Queen. I wonder what the mechanicals are??? The bleach dispenser is shaped almost the exact same was as my 1962 Easy Velva-power washer.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and videos. I love the Kenmoreish styled control panel and control knobs. Great rollover, I bet it will last another 35 years. They sure knew how to make machines back then. I wonder if any machines made today (with the exception of Speed Queen) will last 35 years.

So nice, so very nice. Does it have some connection with Speed Queen (based on a few comments)? I"m not that familiar with EASY...but love those agitators!

Look at his other vid, Easy Filter-Flo. It's a Kenmore/GE hybrid. The lid opens like a Kenmore but the mech is GE with the filter-flo flume at 10 o'clock instead of at 1 o'clock.

Post# 421172 , Reply# 35   3/7/2010 at 12:38 (5,163 days old) by ultramatic52 (Mexico City)
Deep rinse!!!

No, it doesnīt have deep rinse. It lasts 2 minutes, and the water level is the same always. Iīll take pictures from its under skirts so that you can see and understand a little bit more of it.

Thanks to all for your comments.

EASY Filter flo

Jasonl, the Filter Flo is exactly like the GE, the video was taken from its right side instead of the front, it opens just like the GEīs and has everything exactly the same as the GEīs used to have. Iīll post more pictures and videos of it so that you can see it.
