Greetings!

As seen in my previous posts this week, I just purchased a 1961 Maytag A700. I have started scouring the Internet looking up parts on various sites and looking for literature such as a service manual, owner's manual and a parts list with accompanying exploded diagrams, etc.

What I see for this model is that quite a few parts are available from various suppliers, but their online databases have no diagrams availabe for this model to correspond to the part description. Sometimes they will say "see #28 in the control panel diagram" yet there is no diagram displayed! Later models usually have the diagrams available.

I have searched for any literature on the older Maytags and have come up nearly empty. Has anyone had any luck locating any of these? All I found was a repair manual on Amazon that I may try to get (see link.) I am not sure if this will have information specific to my old A700, but I imagine a lot of the mechanical information would apply.

Thanks for any direction on this!

Andrew S.

I have a couple copies of this very book and it's very informative. I highly recommend it!

Thanks Dan...

... I think I'll pick one of the ones on Amazon then.
