Found this at a local Estate sale yesterday was in the back of the basement.
No lint filter to be found and no matching machine.

Model# on the mini-basket is GE581D937.

Any ideas on age or rarity?

That looks exactly like the one that came with my Mom's 1967 Filter-Flo. That should give you some idea about it's age for starter's.

It is very difficult to find these and I've been looking for a while. Should you wish to sell it, Gary, you know where to find me: kjayvazian@comcast.net. At any rate, thanks for the pictures!

I thought it had to be the later 1960's.

I think I have a NOS fabric softner dispenser for this setup. Its the same color, but I am not 100% it would fit. I'll post a pic soon.

When did GE stop manufacturing machines with the mini-basket?

It had to be the mid 90's. They built the filter flo until 1994 I think.........

Straight-Vane Mini basket

I think these mini baskets were used for several years. I'd say 1967-68 until the very early 70's. The 6-vane's first were bakelite and then green like mine in the V-16's.

MisterEric,
I'd be very interested in the fabric softener dispenser. I just got a NOS green filter pan. I'd love to have a new FS dispenser as well.

Jon

Mini basket colors

The mini basket and large filter pan in my grandmother's '73 FF Heavy Duty 18 was blue if memory serves.
