Hi all,

The new Non dishdrawer F&P dishwasher is identical inside, to the current European Whirlpools.

It would appear the US partnership is working in both directions.

We also finally have the TL dryer in Australia.

Regards

Nathan

TL dryers

CR did a review on the TL dryer. Only disses they gave it were lack of a drum light and possible the sound of the drum lid shutting on startup might annoy some.. I certainly wouldn't mind a TL dryer

Yeah, and the Aussie version is more tricked-out than the US version.  :-[

Whirlpool and FP

Signed agreements some time ago to allow exchange of products under each other's brand names. IIRC Whirlpool will begin/has begun selling the FP dish drawers under their own brand names, and *think* the "Brevia" (sp?) countertop dishwasher/drawer is a FP design.

Big appliance makers for the most part are not looking to beak into large new markets by building new factories. Much cheaper to get into bed with a home grown appliance maker and come to a mutual benefical arrangement.

Think in the future there are probably going to be only a handful of major appliance makers that have most of the market, sort of like P&G,Henkel, Lever Bros and to an lesser extent Colgate-Palmolive control a large part of the detergent market.

Briva is not F&P, far as I'm aware. Nor is it countertop or drawer. It's a double-basin sink with one side being a clever convertible sink basin / dishwasher with a pop-top lid and optional outboard water heating tank.

F&P is also making KitcheAid's drawer dishwashers so maybe they made some type of even-Steven deal with Whirlpool like GE did a while ago on the Whirlpool 30 inch slide ins.Whirlpool makes GE'S 27" & 24" top loading stacked washer dryers and for a while,GE was making some of Whirlpool's 30" slide in ranges.
