Detergent Door doesn't Pop Open - Whirlpool Dishwasher |

My parents have a Whirlpool dishwasher - probably about 3 years old. The detergent door is now failing to pop open. If you manually trip the lever, it will open, just not during wash cycle. Thoughts? I've tried running the washer with no detergent (thinking that her gel packs were gunking up the door), but no luck.

me too! My Whirlpool DU1100 is on its third detergent dispenser. | ||
