Hi all hope you've had a great Easter. Well i've finally got around to some new videos of my Beko WMA765 washer with powerjet.

I've just put a brand new motor in it last week and replaced the worktop which was all scratched so thought i'd do some vids to share.

This machine cost me just £50 a couple of years ago and it is about 5 and a half years old now. I don't think i'll part with it for some time cause its such a fab performer!

Enjoy!

Steve

Excellent...

Our fisher and Paykel badged Beko's which appear to be the same model don't have the power jet that....

...unless it doesn't come on with the quick wash option which is the only cycle my mother uses

2 hours and 22 minutes? That's a very long cycle!!! The intensive option on my Bosch washer is only 1 hour and 35 minutes!

How long can the cycle get on that machine? My Bosch will get up to 2 hours and 9 minutes with the intensive option, prewash, and extra rinse selected.

Jamie,
your Bosch is an "americanized" one : extended cycles aren't as extended as euro ones.
Moreover those eurocycles are used to get the "A-A-A thing" mark, so they have to take forever in order to get the "A" for cleaning efficiency no matter the drum is stuffed.

Check the Axxis (Logixx in europe) in the next link : true it takes 3hr 25 mins for the 140°F cotton cycle....
For our sake it has also a PowerWash fast cycle (60 mins for a 140°F wash). Also Zanussi-Electrolux machines take forever in regular cycles but also have a fast 45 minutes @ 140°F cicly

Cycles

Pulsator: You can cut the cycle with the quickwash button to 1 hour 32 mins but it cuts out a rinse stage so i don't use it. Doesn't matter to me if it takes 2-3 hours to wash, i'm not in any hurry as long as the clothes are clean, which they always are. I often use the Sythentics cycle which is 1 hour 40 roughly with three rinses and 800 spin. And the 30 minute mini wash is excellent for lightly soiled clothes, it is very effective.

Ronhic: Not many Beko's have the powerjet and it was/is never advertised on the specs of the machine, it's not common on them and it comes on on all cycles on my machine.

Looks fab

It gives good long tumbles like an older style machine, which always seemed to do a good job, and i like how the PowerJet goes on and off in between tumbles. On Zanussis Jetsystem, i believe the jet stays on even when the drum is static.

Seems strange that Beko don't advertise the PowerJet in the specs, surely they'd sell a few to ex Jetsystem owners if they did?!

On the subject of Cycle Times, 2 hours 22 doesn't seem THAT excessive, particularly as it can be reduced.

I disagree with the comments regarding Zanussis taking forever though - European machines may take longer, but our 2007 Zanussi Essential take 1 hour 45 on Cottons 40c. This can be reduced to 1 hour if 'Super Quick' is selected and increased to 2 hours if 'Extra Rinse' is selected.

Nice machine steve.
The recirc pump operates like my lg it circulates only when tumbling. though throughout the wash it comes on and off, stays on for abit in different patterns.

The door on the beko reminds me of a hoover newwave :-)

New Wave

Yeah Darren its a very similar door on the new wave, cuts down on water noise a bit too. The powerjet runs for about 8 minutes at the start of the wash, then throughout the first rinse only. Works well to get the detergent circulated , quite a poweful jet too. I might do an empty wash video to show it better.

Looks like a fun machine. I have personally steered away from Beko as the people i have spoken to about them have not had much look with them. But for 50 even if it only lasted a year you have your monies worth
Cheers for sharing, great vids btw :o)
