Here's an early 70's Hotpoint washer for sale. It is from the early days of Hotpoint's morph to a General Electric clone; it has the GE console and top, but has the Hotpoint side-hinged lid. Maybe 1972? 1973?

Thats a different style. One model year or did this continue until the supply of side hinged tops were exhausted?

Looks very similar to the old GE-made Eaton's Viking models (Canada).
