Seen this video on Youtube of this machine which is having trouble balancing a load. The machine doesn't appear to be well made at all as the amount of noise it is making whilst the tub rocks to and fro is poor.
I have a problem with my AEG Lavamat 72640 with poor balancing sometimes and the machine drum thumps about sometimes on start and slow down of spin but the machine has ever jumped right out of its place like this Hotpoint-Ariston has. The most my AEG has done is the drum has hit the glass door and made a bit of a banging noise but I have felt the machine to be made well enough and safe not to do what this machine on the video has done. From what I can see, this is very dangerous.
I find it annoying that some of these machines on the market from various manufacturers have these inbuilt 'balance controls' in them but yet override them and continue to spin anyway.
Not good... as someone commented on youtube it seems that one of the suspension rods have come loose or broken so the drum is just in free motion hence it rocking backwards and forwards like its psycho!
