I always wondered why mfgs never put windows in dishwashers. I remember the see through Maytag machine at different places. Even Monkey Wards had one in their appliance section. |

Maybe because people don't find it appetizing to see bits of food flying about? |

Exactly why I don't own a bagless vacuum cleaner. Some things are best left out of sight. But the dishwasher idea has some merit to it. |

I'd buy a new dishwasher like that solely on the basis of having a glass window into the works. So cool. I remember our downstairs neighbor in the Sixties talking about fashioning a window in the door of his FL Hotpoint so his boys could watch the works while eating dinner. He never did it because he realized how difficult it would be to bypass all the electricals.
He was no Robert Seger. |

IIRC an aunt of my had a dishwasher with a small window in the door. I think it was a Constructa, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I saw this dishwasher only once when I was still very young, it must have been in the mid sixties or there about. It would be cool if such a dishwasher would show up somewhere.
