I have encounter a few Kenmore Elite Top Loaders, of about 8 that I have bought and sold, 3 of them have had issues. One transmission, one timer and now one with a motor. So that I am headed in right direction. The washer has issues spinning, it won't get to a full spin speed. The motor is making a noise as it runs as well. I took it all apart and when I turn the motor shaft by hand, it makes a grinding noise. So I am assuming it is the motor? I am hoping there are no transmission issues as well. On the back of the unit, it has had a new drive coupler, a new pump already and the machine is only 7 yrs old. Just wanted to see if anyone had any insite to why these were so troublesome.
