Signiture?

They say it's by Whirlpool, but wasn't Signiture the Ward's brand. Might this be a super-late Norge? When were the last Nores built anyway? When did the Burpalator go away?

The Signature washer shown is a White Westinghouse not a Whirlpool. Some people have no clew what the differences are.We know though, don't we?

The Burpalator Belchatronic agitator went away with the solid tub Norges. The perforated tub machines had a recirculating filter system. Sniff, sniff, belch.

Isn't that beautiful beast almost obscene in her majesty? Just look at her. Great find, Dave. Thanks.

Hey Tom, the perf. tub Norges still had the burpolator; mine did, circa 1980.

Burpalators.

My mother's 1981? Montgomery Norge had a perf tub and a white Burpalator. I would love to have that machine again. When did that design go away?

The Twin Tub

Were the Twin Tubs produced with the Dexter name in some parts of the country and Philco in others? The machine looks to be identical to my Dexter only in slightly better condition.

Evan -

That twin-tub reminds me of a DoubleMint gum commercial. "It's two, two, two tubs in one!"

How very neat it looks, I love it.
