This model came out after Bendix introduced the Magic Heater in the electric Duomatic. The heater in the 230 volt Duomatic was much more powerful than the one in the Bendix Washer. CU tested the claims that it made the water hotter and reported that it kept the water from cooling as much as it would without using the heater.

My Grandmother had a simular bendix, but hers had a complete round window door and the dispenser had a smaller square door. Also a grey dial on each side with the timer on right that had a seperate soak cycle and up to a 12 minute wash. The dial on the left was for the water level. (at least in those days you can get water in these machines) In the center was a 2 button selection for hot or warm water. I don't know if it had a heater. I do remember when she would do a hot wash she would switch the machine to warm after it filled but I don't remember why she did that. Me and my sister always had so much fun watching the bendix run. I wish they made machines like that today.

If I remember correctly this was the first Gyromatic (G-314) with the Magic Heater. It wasn't long after that the '52 model came out - the WCG.
