I have decided to move on the Hotpoint 18370 automatic machine i got some months ago.

I have finished checking it over and servicing it and it is working perfectly, i have also repaired the holes in the rear drum plate with liquid metal, this has withstood 90o boil washes without any problems.

If anyone is interested please email me with your offer, i shall wait a week from this posting to let the highest bidder know who they are.

hi Gary,

What a great machine!

Out of interest have you taken the rear drum bearing plate off to seal the holes from the inside, or have you sealed them from the outside?

Holes

Hello Bertrum i didn't removed the back plate i filled the holes from the outside it wasnt a difficult job.

And also by running several boil washes not only to test the repair i have removed the dried up washing powder that was inside the backplate and i daresay elsewhere in the machine, like another machine i got last year the previous onwer must have used far too much washing powder, which had built up, the waste pipe trap was full of it aswell.

Now the machine doesnt lather up when it is used, incidentilly i still have the original rubber outlet hose, though i put a modern grey ribbed one on there for ease.

I would love to have this, but I can not see a way of fetching it.

So I hope that some one will, and look after it well.
