I had wondered about these, but never seen one up close. This is the full-size Haier top-loader. It seems boringly ordinary. Nothing special about it. I'd like to see one in action.

....that agitator looks remarkably like Fisher & Paykels...

...though I can't tell if it is connected the full length of the fins at the base...

They've obviouisly done away with the

impeller, fins on the tub wall and second clear plastic lid. The previous large capacity model offered a turbo drum and impeller washing system. This looks like a regular Australian top loader. I wonder if they still offer the full 10 year warranty.

Same but different.

This is on sale in Australia too but with an impeller rather than the agitator. Shame, as I like the Fisher and Paykel-esque agitator.

I wonder how much of the technology is stolen from other manufacturers in other countries?

The impeller...

I thought the impeller haier did a counter-rotation motion. When the impeller turned left, the drum turned right?

'I thought the impeller haier did a counter-rotation mot

That was the original model that came out a few years ago. It had fins on the tub wall, an impeller and a secondary plastic lid under the metal lid to contain the splashing. Correct me if I am wrong, but from memory, Haier offered a full ten year factory warranty as well. Some while back a member posted a video of that washer on this website.

If this latest washer still has the counter-rotation, I don't know. Somehow I doubt this.
